The initial name of our firm which was
established in 1882 was Shroff Channabasappa &
Sons. In course of time, due to non co-operation in partnership,
I dissolved the initial firm and named it as Channabasappa & Co,
in the same old place of ours where, Channabasappa & Sons was situated. In this way we are continuing our age old tradition of making Incense
sticks.
All the old formulation of the incenses is with us. Till now we are using many
incenses which were formulated by our forefathers and it has remained unchanged
so far. We have formulated many new incenses ; but to be frank, customers like
our age old incenses .
The reason is , we don`t get those age old raw materials today, which no
one is even aware of it !
Shroff C. Rudrappa was
the Founder President of Mysore Oodabathi Manufacturer`s Association, now
changed to All Inda Agarbathi Manufacturer`s Association ; is the son of
Shroff Channabasappa ,our Great - Great - Grandfather, who worked day
and night to lift this firm to such great height. In fact, Shroff C. Rudrappa`s
education was only till 7th level, but he could speak very fluent English
that even foreigners were astonished to hear. He was a true and a highly
spirited person and his effort in developing this company was extremely
commendable.
Our ancestors who established the firm in 1882 were shipping our masala
incenses to various western and European nations. We have satisfied many of our
customers and hope to reach many more in days to come......
